Nick Tangeman MSW, LADC
Nick received his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa in 2005. He has been a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Nevada since moving to Las Vegas in 2011. Nick has over 10 years of experience in addictions treatment, and is a member of NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals. Nick is passionate about helping adolescents and their families work through the disease of addiction.
He has worked in both residential and outpatient addiction treatment settings with both teenagers and adults who suffered from co-occurring mental health issues, past trauma, abuse, neglect, and a variety of personal stressors. Through support and encouragement, Nick focuses on enhancing the individual’s motivation for change in order to help them develop a road map to recovery.
As an administrator, Nick has extensive experience in program design and development, as well as clinical supervision of addictions treatment programs. He places a strong emphasis on providing quality treatment while maintaining an atmosphere of support and discovery.
Nick values the dignity and individual worth of teenagers struggling with addiction. He believes in the importance of treating these adolescents with respect, support, and genuine concern.
Brian Gauthier LCSW, LADC
Brian is passionate about helping adolescents and teenagers with both addiction and related mental health issues. His educational background includes graduating Magna Cum Laude from California State University, where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Social Work. Brian also graduated with honors from California State University, Chico in 2005 with a Masters degree in Social Work with Mental Health as his area of concentration.
Brian’s clinical experience has allowed him to work in a variety of settings where he has had great success helping individuals and families struggling with mental illness and addiction. In the past, he has worked with severely developmentally delayed adults in residential setting. Brian has experience in acute psychiatric hospitals for both adults and adolescents. He has also provided home based addiction treatment and Mental Health services for adolescents utilizing the Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy model. Most recently Brian was employed as a Clinical Therapist providing individual, group and family mental health counseling for both children and adults in an outpatient setting.
Brian utilizes counseling and psychotherapy techniques to evaluate and treat emotional, mental and addiction conditions. He is adept at providing cognitive, behavioral, and affective therapies. Brian strives to help individuals and families meet their goals through compassion, empathy and understanding.
